Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there!
Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access.
Community Pool:
The Town of Prominence offers a 2 large resort style community pools! The New Prominence South Pool is located just steps from Sea Mist and features a stunning fire pit! The North Pool is over 5,000 sq ft and is just a short walk across 30A with cabanas, grills, bathhouse, and fitness center!

Nice place in a good location. Was there with my teen daughter and a few of her friends. Place was clean and came with lots of amenities. Having the golf cart was convenient. The bikes were used nonstop by the girls. Liked being across the street from the Big Chill.

We had a great time and loved the accommodations. A minor issue were small ants in the kitchen. Also, small personal touches would’ve put our experience over the top such as salt and pepper in the kitchen and a person of contact through the entire process. Overall, we had a fun time!

The only issue we had was the a/c. It was great until maybe the 2nd or 3rd day. When the repair guy came out he never spoke to us let alone state the issue if he could one. That night the issue still wasn’t fixed-the house was 80° so we called and had another repair guy come out from Adkins A/C. He was pleasant even though it was after hours and fixed the issue. This all could have been avoided if the first repair guy took the time to look or ask us what was going on. Property manager just needs to know who they called did an awful job and shouldn’t be used again!

This place is so relaxing and beautiful. My family and I really enjoyed our short stay. My 2 little girls loved being able to ride the golf cart to the pool and to the beach. It was a really good quiet place to relax and enjoy time with your family. Easy check in and check out. We will def be back. Thank you!

This place was lovely! The home is beautifully decorated and had enough of what we needed (towels, kitchen equipment, etc.) The bunk beds were a huge bonus for us! The only thing that could have made it better would have been if a golf cart was included. 😂

The property was in a great location and was super clean and well appointed. The only minor concern is that the top bed of the bunk is tattered...this did not make for a pleasant view for the person in the bottom bunk. Otherwise, everything else was great.
