The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there; use the complementary tram (seasonal) or street legal golf cart! So many options!! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.6 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Very clean. So close to the hub. Golf carts were great to get around.
We enjoyed our time at Crazy Sexy Beaches. The townhouse was perfect for our group. Two minor issues: 1. The master toilet had a tendency to get clogged easily. Probably needs to be snaked. 2. One of the bike’s seat would not stay up. Other than those minor issues, everything was exactly as advertised!
Nice place , very clean and has everything you need for the beach. So close to the HUB for food, drinks and Cigars. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
The house was beautiful, nicely decorated and great appliances and equipment. The home is very cozy and has a great deck for visiting. It was disappointing the pool closed at 7 pm, when it was not even dark yet and we wanted to stay later. The beach was much further away than we realized and the shuttle is a nice feature but pain with large group. The check out time should be at least noon, the 10 am checkout was a waste of a vacation day because we got no beach or pool time at all.

PROS: The house was decorated and furnished beautifully. The kitchen supplies (soap, detergent, sponge etc.) were very nice. The place was extremely clean. White linens and plenty of towels were great. CONS: The fridge water and ice dispenser didn’t work. My bed mattress was a little too soft. Felt like a blow up mattress. I slept in the small twin bed. Pillows were pretty good, but could tell they were mid grade. The one thing I’ve learned about staying in hotels vs a vacation rental is hotels always have better mattresses and pillows. Overall we really enjoyed our stay! Vince Cox was very prompt and kind to respond when we had a question.
Hey! Overall I’d say my stay was great. The house was cozy! We only used one bedroom for no reason other than that’s all we needed! It was REALLY nice that the house came with a golf cart because it made getting around with kids so much easier and fun! Things I would say to improve... 1. The fridge didn’t have ice Or water so filling up water bottles was tricky. This may or may not have been related to COVID. I tried to call but no answer. 2. The house was overall really clean except the baby’s pants were black from crawling on the floor. Probably needs a little steam clean in the near future. 3. I tried to call/message for more clear instructions about checking out. I didn’t know if to take the sheets off or not. I remember the instructions said don’t wash the sheets and towels so I left the sheets on the bed and the towels all together on the bathroom floor. I tried to reference the instructions again but couldn’t find them. Would have been convenient to have the instructions linked into Air BNB. I also put the garbage out because everyone else did it but I wasn’t sure if that’s what I was supposed to do. 4. The area is easy to navigate but a map of the beach access points would have been helpful. Some of the neighbors helped me with where to go and where to park. Again, overall it was a great time. My girls loved staying there. The pool was organized even though they had to rotate people in and out. It was not too much hassle. The people working were all very pleasant. I would recommend the property to a friend. It was very convenient to have it available last minute.
This is a great property. Very quiet location with a fantastic floor plan, everything was new and clean. My family loved everything at this unit and communication was great throughout the entire process. We will definitely say at this exact home again.
We had a wonderful stay at Crazy Sexy Beaches. The house was very clean and beautifully furnished. There were plenty of supplies to get started (towels, washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.) The golf cart was very helpful getting around and a hit with the kids. Beach access is a little tricky. Deer Lake State Park is beautiful but the boardwalk is VERY long. Santa Clara is further away (we drove our vehicle) but much more user friendly when hauling beach gear. We were very pleased with the customer service we received from Beachwalk. They responded within a timely manner to every question/concern we had. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Prominence.
