Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there; use the complementary tram (seasonal) or Golf Cart! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (approx. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Community Pool:
The Town of Prominence offers a 2 large resort style community pools! The New Prominence South Pool is located just steps from Sea Mist and features a stunning fire pit! The North Pool is over 5,000 sq ft and is just a short walk across 30A with cabanas, grills, bathhouse, and fitness center!

No Pets: No pets of any kind are permitted in 'Better Together.' No exceptions will be made. Guests who violate this policy will be charged an additional $500, plus the expense of steam-cleaning and deodorizing. Violations will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of rent.

We did enjoy our time there but being a so-called “super host” with ABB you should have provided more than just one tube of shampoo per bathroom and two pods for the dishwasher!:) It would be nice to include two tubes of shampoo and some conditioner for each bathroom. Two pods of detergent for dishwasher (for two nights stay) is not enough! These things do not cost much but go a long way to make your guests happy and comfortable! People don’t drag along these basic necessities these days when they travel.

The house was great. We actually ended up leaving a day early though due to the fact that our neighbors in the building next to us were constantly smoking marijuana on their back patio. Literally every time we went outside it was all we could smell. I have small children and after 3 days of them constantly asking what’s that smell, I decided it was time to pack up and come home. I really hated to leave, however this is not the type of thing I want to subject my children too. Needless to say I left disappointed.

Small issues with the bikes, suggested to BeachWalk to tune up bikes. Maybe have some bungee cords to secure beach stuff to the golf cart. A past guest noted that there was basically everything to cook in the kitchen - Many hosts leave things like spices/olive oil in the cabinet or pantry when guests leave them behind so we didn’t have any of that stuff - not even salt/pepper. We couldn’t watch our own streaming accounts because the roku needed a pin and we never received help about it after calling the phone number in the unit. Not mad about any of the above but just offering suggestions.
