30A is a scenic stretch of highway down Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast enclosed by Destin and Panama City Beach. Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to choose is how you want to get there; use the complementary tram (seasonal) or bikes! Below are 3 of the most popular accesses:
Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
Deer Lake State Park: Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Pet Friendly: This property is pet friendly during fall, winter, and spring. Pets are PROHIBITED in peak season between 5/15 and 9/1. Written permission must be provided to any pets (registered service animals) between 5/15 and 9/1. Violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine. We have a limit of 2 pets per reservation with no weight limit. There is a $150 additional fee per pet charged to the card on file. **Additional Restrictions Apply. The golf cart only would charge to 36% and combined with heavy traffic, we really didn’t use it so that was an expensive bust. We enjoyed the bike rides to the one nearby (one mile) beach access and we liked the place. Had everything we needed and the shower was wonderful. Shuttle is seasonal and pool cold this time of year. We went to a lot of state parks within a 15 minute drive. The Hub was fun with music and Hook’d the best meal at that particular place we had on nearby grounds.

Loved it! The place was as described - very clean and up to date. Walking distance to pool and The HUB on 30-A. Very pet friendly and our little Boston Terrier loved all the “pet areas” throughout the complex. Definitely loved having access to the bikes. Would definitely stay again! A couple of suggestions for the kitchen: pizza pans and a pizza cutter would have been nice to have. Also, maybe consider adding a steak knife set
