Beach Accesses:
There are several convenient beach accesses! All you have to do is choose how you want to get there; use the complementary tram (seasonal), bicycle(s) or take a short drive down 30A to your favorite beach access! Below are three of the most popular accesses:
 
The Gulf Lakes beach access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.
 
Deer Lake State Park beach access is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (approx. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.
 
Santa Clara beach access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence.
 
*This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day).
 
The Town of Prominence offers a large resort style community pool over 5,000 sq. ft.! Enjoy grills, a bathhouse, poolside restrooms and fitness center! Nearby restaurants to The Town of Prominence 30A include 'The Hub' which offers several restaurants including Crave Roadside Burgers, Mile Marker 15, Local Smoke, American Drinking Post, Mr. Freeze, The Hub Taco Truck, as well as many more!

*Pet Friendly: This property is pet-friendly during fall, winter, and spring. Pets are PROHIBITED in peak season between 5/15 and 8/1. Written permission must be provided to any pets (registered service animals) between 5/15 and 8/1. Violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine. We have a limit of 2 pets per reservation with no weight limit. There is a $150 additional, refundable, $150 per pet charged to the card on file.

Golf Cart: The Golf Cart is provided to the Guest by a 3rd Party Vendor, BeachWalk Vacation Gear, LLC ("BVG, LLC"). The rental policy signed is between the Guest and BVG, LLC. Golf Cart is not owned or provided to the Guest by the Homeowner or BeachWalk Vacation Properties, LLC.

Beach Shuttle: The Town of Prominence offers a free seasonal shuttle to the beach 7 days a week 9AM - 4PM, Memorial Day - Labor Day only. Pick up is at The Hub and pool at the covered bench. Great location, beautiful condo, clean, only complaint is this is NOT a pet friendly unit after May 15 and that’s very misleading in your listing on Vrbo. It’s buried in the fine print. By the time i realized that i couldn’t bring my dog it was too late to rebook.

Stay was great! Condo was in great shape, everyone booking was super helpful. We’ll definitely book again! One thing to note, golf cart battery went down pretty fast. Other than that, perfect trip and location!!

We absolutely loved it here! 6 of us in all including 4 adult sized teenagers and we felt like we Had plenty of room. Beachwalk rentals was Super easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. The beach access was a little farther away than we were expecting, and we felt the bikes were a better option vs the golf cart(electric golf cart was a little Slow moving down 30A). Beaches were beautiful! Pool was not heated, but we sat in the sun and used the grill which worked out great! Also we loved Bruno’s pizza(across the street) for a an inexpensive, yummy meal for our large family. We loved the hub, so many activities and nightly music going on all the time. We particularly liked this area because it was lively without being to overly crowded. Visited seaside and then also ally’s beach area and it was nice to be located between them. If your planning on cooking, make sure you bring all the cooking sprays, salt, pepper and condiments you need! We cannot wait to visit again!

Loved being in the unit…the layout was perfect and it was clean . I would suggest some hooks of some sort for wet towels/bathing suits etc. one I’d the blinds was missing in the living room. The only problem we had was with the bikes that were supposed to be included in the rental. Turned out we paid extra for them . One of the bikes could not even be ridden because handle bars were completely wobbly and no handle for adjusting seat etc. The other bike was ok but not good adjusting . So we ended up getting other bikes. Called about problems and was told that someone would be out to fix and no one ever showed . But overall we enjoyed the neighborhood, pool , and location by the Hub

The unit was decorated beautiful but it shows a lot of wear and tear (broken faucet, broken flusher, big nicks on the walls, walls were dirty). We did not have linens for the pull-out bed the first night which was very disappointing. We loved the Prominence Complex and being able to communicate with Beachwalk via messaging.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Walk resort. We had access to the beach front within minutes of where we were staying. We were close to Panama City Beach & Destin in either direction that was a plus. However, when we were preparing for bed the 1st night, I noticed that some black lint along with hair was on the king size bed sheets. I called the after hours number & spoke with a guy who stated he would look into it and call me back the same night. During the duration of the our our trip, we did not hear from anyone and ended up sleeping in the smaller bed and utilized our own cover we had brought with us. Moving forward, we decided to start bringing our own sheets when we travel.

The condo was very nice but the kitchen was lacking in cookware. We did contact you, and a frying pan was brought to us later that day. Thank you, again! However, the early closing of the pool and no access to pool chairs / grill area was quite a bummer. The limited beach access was not a problem for us because my group was adults and older children. However, I would not recommend this location to people with smaller children.
